On December 4th I opened the first and only Aviator Nation boutique at 1224 Abbot Kinney Blvd. in Venice, CA. After 2 1/2 years of slowly growing my brand this perfect location presented itself on Abbot Kinney and it seemed only obvious that i should move our headquarters to this location. Our new official headquarters, store and office on Abbot Kinney has been exciting to bring to life and i hope all of you get a chance to come and visit! I started the company out of my garage a couple blocks from this new Headquarters so I am “keeping it close to home”. For the past 3 Abbot Kinney Festivals (each September) i have had amazing support from all my Venice Neighbors and it seemed only right to bring everyone in the neighborhood a place where they can come and shop all year long. The new headquarters is not only a great place to check out the latest Aviator Nation gear but it is also an interactive experience in true California style filled with Vintage arcade games, spinning vinyl from the 70’s and a stage for live music on the back patio. I am pretty much in love with this little Oasis i’ve created and i can’t wait to share it with all of you. So don’t be a stranger!

Angus and Julia Stone are a brother and sister from Australia that have some amazing tunes. i stumbled upon them a couple months ago and immediately bought up every song they’ve ever released. lucky for me they were also headlining a show at the Troubadour right after i found them so i caught them live too. their music is about as pure as it gets in my opinion and every song they have is good. those bands are really hard to find… you know the one’s where every song is great. i love singer/songwriter stuff in general and folk is really becoming a favorite of mine too. that pure sound is so inspiring to me especially at those times when the world seems like a bit of chaos around me. so enjoy and if you like it check out their other stuff too. “About a boy” is my personal fave!
First of all what is it with Australians? i love them all! Everyone i meet from OZ is rad… i got to go there once and although i got extremely sunburn playing golf in the desert i had an awesome time and I’m itching to go back. The waves are great, the people are great, the vibe is great! No wonder Australians are so happy! So i have a friend from Australia that introduced me to this guy Xavier Rudd and the first time i saw him live in Los Angeles at the El Rey (completely Rad venue by the way) i fell in love with his music. It’s unique, it’s powerful and it creates an energy in a room that is pretty hard to explain. Check him out live if he’s ever cruising through your neighborhood.. you won’t regret it! So Andy Samberg’s stylist calls us up and tells us that he LOVES are stuff and wants to buy some stuff! Well we were all for it so we got it together and sent it over! Next thing we know he’s everywhere wearing Aviator Nation!! I think sometimes stylists we send stuff to end up keeping it for themselves because… well they probably fall in love with it and it never makes it to the celebrity… that’s what i think because when ever i run into Brad Pitt he’s never wearing it. And i know he’d be wearing it if he actually got it! but that’s cool and i’m fine with the stylists jiving on it. Anyways apparently with Samberg it wasn’t the case at all.. he definitely got it, loves it and is wearing it everywhere! check out this hilarious clip where he’s rocking our Daydream sweatshirt!
